Designer's Message
Kimono, also known as "the world's largest national costume", has been fascinated all over the world with its infinite color and beauty of pattern. Many people wish to wear it once, and many of those who visit Japan from abroad seem to want to wear kimono in Japan.

However, the kimono is hard to put on. Moreover, It is cramped, very difficult to care and store and expensive. Kimono has becoming obsolete.

I want to hand down the kimono culture to posterity... Having the feelings, I got rid of all kimono's troublesome (dressing, cramping, care, storage, cost, etc.) and Shitateya Jingoro was born as a patented kimono that everyone can wear easily it, can wash at home.

In addition, we have been working on about 20 years to restore kimono as "culture" rather than ending with a temporary boom. Meanwhile, we were featured on many media and newspapers, sympathize with our company's efforts and support, and now we get a boost from the people who are interested in kimono, who were not familiar with kimonos, customers from overseas.

With the changing circumstances, architectural styles, facial features, makeup, and hair style changes along with the flow of the times, Nobunaga Oda and the city people push the kimonos to the cutting edge fashion, and Ryoma Sakamoto combines boots and Hakama. Kimono has also evolved according to the times.

Shitateya Jingoro Kimono was designed according to current buildings and lifestyles. We can wear accessories, sandals and boots with it.

First of all, we want people to feel familiar with Kimono, Japanese tradition, through our easiest kimono. I am convinced that it will lead to revitalization of the whole kimono industry.

As a result of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games, the world is paying attention to Japan.
I would like to strive to revive kimono culture together with the people who love kimono, all companies in the Japanese dressing industry, people who have kept and succeeded in traditional Japanese culture in various fields and people all over Japan.
